A total of 5 hours of sleep for 2 nights.
Saturday night, I slept at 2am packing my stuff and busy getting too excited/ or rather paranoid to sleep. I've this thing before taking a plane, call it the pre-flight jitters, paranoid android syndrome, whatever.
Sunday morning, I woke up at 6am, packed a few last minute stuff, washed up, got off to the airport.
Sunday evening touched down at Brisbane at about 8pm. By the time we got back to my sista's apartment, it was about 10pm. And then there were maggots. In her kitchen cupboard where she keeps her plates/ dry food. So the sick shit began. She cleaned up the cupboard, wiped away whatever maggots she could find. I helped her out, inspected each and every food packet, provided her with some laughter & much-needed entertainment in the middle of the night when one is tired and still has to clean up that damned maggot-infested cupboard. Those damned maggots, disgusting, sickening, creepy crawlies, white and furry, eeeewwww. Puke.
And then we had to go out to the nearby atm to withdraw some cash (because we realised we were cashless), went 7-11 to buy next morning's breakfast and bought our very very late dinner from Subway.
Taken while walking out to Toowong to withdraw cash.
Chomped down the 6-inch sandwich while walking back. By the time we got back it was about midnight. To our dismay, we did not have internet access, so couldnt print our boarding passes. Bathed, unpack & then repack luggage again. By the time we settled down into bed, we only had ONE hour of sleep to spare.
Monday EARLY morning, woke up after only 1 hour of sleep, washed up, got ready, went out of the apartment before 3am to the domestic airport to catch our flight to Melbourne.
When we reached the domestic airport, the Virgin Blue counter was not even opened yet. It was like a dead airport. Nobody at the counter, juz a few passengers loitering around waiting for the counters to open so they could check in. We sat down and joined the wait. To add onto our miserable state of being, we ate sugar-laden cereal from the box and washed it down with a small bottle of chocolate milk. How pathetic.
Finally after checking in, boarding the plane, we landed in Melbourne after 2 hours!
